Non-Member Enrollment

The mission of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and School is to spread the good news of the Gospel to all the world. Children are no exception. Our church welcomes the children of  non-member families to attend our school based on the following criteria:  

1. The family would first meet with the student’s teacher and the principal for an overview of the school and be given the non-member enrollment application

2. Upon approval of the student’s application, a second meeting would be arranged among the family, the Principal, the Pastor, and a School Committee member to review the application and further discuss the possibility of enrolling their child(ren) in our school.

3. Should the family wish to continue the pursuit of our school as an option for their child, they will be given an agreement regarding conduct and tuition, which will include the following:

a. A complete and unconditional understanding that any conduct detrimental to the education of other students or in opposition to the teachings of Holy Scripture will not be tolerated. Repetition of such conduct can lead to dismissal from school. The parents would be notified immediately and a meeting would be held in a timely manner with the teacher, Principal, Pastor, and the Chairman of the School Committee.

b. An agreement to pay the following tuition:

      I. $2,500 per year – Preschool
     II. $3,000 per year – Kindergarten
     iii. $4,000 per year – 1st – 8th Grade
     iv. After the first child, a $1,000 discount would be applied to each younger child.
      v. This tuition can be paid per semester or monthly.

c. A statement which will include a review of the child(ren)’s continued enrollment at our school at the end of the school year.

                          Academics

 Holy Trinity Lutheran School maintains high scholastic standards in all subjects for
grades 4k-8. Our curriculum at Holy Trinity meets or exceeds the academic requirements for elementary and junior high education set down by the state of South Carolina. Students of Holy Trinity have consistently scored higher than the South Carolina and national average on standardized testing (We use Iowa Test of Basic Skills).

Not only does Holy Trinity value success in academics but also in personal character growth. We strive to support the teachings of core values of Jesus’ love, which are first taught in the home, by encouraging respect, responsibility, self-control, and other Fruits of the Spirit.

We offer:

  • Small Class sizes
  • Low student : teacher ratio
  • Field trips throughout the year
  • Drama through presentation of plays once per year
  • Private, in-school piano lessons
  • High-standard curriculum

Graduates of Holy Trinity are successfully admitted to secondary schools in the area on the same basis as those from public junior high schools.

Tuition
     Families who are members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church pay no tuition at our school - the full cost of their tuition is paid by the congregation. 
     Families who are not members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church pay tuition according to the chart below

     Holy Trinity School is an approved ESTF (School Choice) provider.  Please contact us for information on this state-wide program which pays $7,500 per student towards non-member tuition (thereby covering tuition costs for those whose families are not members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.   


     Since eligibility for the South Carolina ESTF program is limited, families who are not approved this year for the ESTF program will be eligible for a $1,000 discount (after the first student) for each additional student in grades 1-8.
